I’m so lucky to have been able to spend Midsummer at home this year since I’ve been in the UK the past couple of years. It also special to me because Rob and I got engaged on Midsummer in Stockholm 3 years ago.
This year I’ve been at my family’s country house in Estonia and it’s been both a relaxing and eventful long weekend. We started off celebrating already on Thursday evening by joining my cousin for her graduation party in Tartu, which is in the south of Estonia. Luckily the weather was good so I dug out my white shirt dress I bought last year but hadn’t had a chance to wear yet. It’s an easy dress to wear since you can dress it up or down. I don’t have an exact link to it but this dress is very similar.
The rest of the weekend was spent baking, cooking, cleaning, barbecuing, chatting, wine drinking, laughing, standing by the bonfire, saunaing etc etc. My uncle and I also took a long 8 km walk to a bog close by yesterday morning and it was the perfect way to the start the day. No people, no traffic on the way there- just sunshine and silence. Today is our last full day here at the farmhouse so I intend to enjoy it to the max!
Hope you all had a lovely Midsummer!
