California

I’m actually pretty happy that I still have unpublished photos left that I haven’t posted here from my trip to California last month because now I’m seriously starting to miss the beautiful weather and scenery! The weather here has slowly gotten colder, rainier and windier and I’m just not into it. Every year it’s the same issue so I can’t even be surprised. I’m just trying to keep myself busy with other fun things like seeing friends, Christmas shopping/planning and fixing stuff around the flat. Our trip away feels like it was a lifetime ago though, haha! Even looking at the photos it doesn’t really feel like we were there.

Highway 1 was definitely my favorite part of the entire road trip. It was just so beautiful! I was most looking forward to seeing Big Sur- in fact I know this is pretty lame but the whole idea of going on a roadtrip to Cali came from reading Jack Kerouac’s On the Road in the spring. I thought Big Sur was nice but the rest of the coastline was even nicer! We ended up staying in Morro Bay for a night, which has this really big large rock by the coast. The second day drive wasn’t as scenic as the first but the highlight was definitely seeing a beach full of seals 😍 (see last pic)

This is kind of making me want to book another trip away but I don’t know what our schedules look like yet for the next few months. We have slowly been looking at honeymoon’s though since we never went on one last year after our wedding. Maybe I’ll just have to sit Googling warm beachy destinations tonight…not complaining 😏

About Me - a lifestyle + travel blog by KK Land

Welcome to my blog! This space started due to a combination of things – my cosmopolitan lifestyle and my love of taking photos. My biggest love is to travel and I don’t stay put in one place for more than a few weeks.

Here you can find a mix of different posts, such as my days spent in Edinburgh, with a coffee cup in hand. Or my travel adventures in different countries. Or some style posts- I’m a casual gal but enjoy a good statement piece.
