Studio Emma

You know what’s fun?

Colourful concrete. Made my Studio Emma, of course.

If you haven’t heard who Studio Emma is, she’s an amazing artist who creates beautiful colourful vessels made out of concrete. I spotted her stuff first on Instagram and then in the Life Story shop and immediately fell in love 💙

A few weeks ago Charlotte & I got the chance to go to Emma’s studio and see how she works her magic. Now, seeing as I’m not an artist I don’t really know how these things are done but it went kind of like this: Emma gets some concrete, some sand, adds some of her TOP SECRET dyes into the mix, adds water, becomes a wizard, adds magic and suddenly there’s a beautiful vessel in front of your eyes. It’s totally not that easy, of course.
Currently, Emma’s vessels are sold in many stores in the UK and on the day that Charlotte and I were visiting she was sending over 100 pieces to a design store in Iceland!!! So cool!

The space itself is so fun and inspiring, with colour everywhere of course. The little child that lives inside of me was squealing for the two hours we were there 😍 Have a look at the photos below for some behind-the-scenes shots with Emma.

About Me - a lifestyle + travel blog by KK Land

Welcome to my blog! This space started due to a combination of things – my cosmopolitan lifestyle and my love of taking photos. My biggest love is to travel and I don’t stay put in one place for more than a few weeks.

Here you can find a mix of different posts, such as my days spent in Edinburgh, with a coffee cup in hand. Or my travel adventures in different countries. Or some style posts- I’m a casual gal but enjoy a good statement piece.
